Title: Full House (풀 하우스)

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Main Cast: Song Hye Kyo & Rain (Jeong Ji Hoon; 정지훈)

Episodes: 16 (~14 hours)

Release Date: July 14 – September 2, 2004

Starring Song Hye Kyo (who is marrying Song Joong Ki soon!) and Rain (who married Kim Tae Hee a while back) back when they were still really young! Full House is perhaps one of the most iconic romantic comedy K-Dramas of all time.

If you like K-Drama plots where a celebrity falls in love with an average person, you will definitely love Full House. This K-Drama was one of the pioneers in this type of romantic comedy genre and it’s not a long and draggy one anyway – just 16 episodes and about 14 hours in total.

There are a fair share of tear-jerking moments as with any RomComs but also very sweet. And did I mention Song Hye Kyo looks like an absolute beauty in the drama? Rain looks a little off with his long hair but let’s not forget it was filmed back in 2004! Nevertheless, his acting is top-notch and his character is charming yet clumsy, which makes him adorable.

Title: IRIS (아이리스)

Genre: Thriller, Action

Main Cast: Kim Tae Hee (김태희) and Lee Byeong Heon (이병헌)

Episodes: 20 (~17 hours)

Release Date: October 14 – December 17, 2009

It is a well-known and undisputed fact that IRIS is the best action and thriller K-Drama of all time. If you ask any K-Drama addict who loves action movies and TV series would recommend IRIS to you. I promise you this is hands down… The. Best.

IRIS is also well-known for being one of the highest budgeted K-Drama of all time (~US$18 million!), just because of the action scenes. They even spun out a full-blown movie, a sequel and another K-Drama set in a similar universe as IRIS. Yes, it is that huge!

Although IRIS is 20 episodes long and about 17 hours long of run time, it didn’t feel that long at all. It keeps you at the edge of your seat almost every moment of the show, forcing you to watch episode after episode without even noticing the time.
